![]() ![]() Again I apologise if this question is terminally stupid, but better be safe than sorry. Once it is done, please let me know which email address you have used there so we can join the logs with your report here. My question is, if I want to delete this report, do I just go into the Report folder in the Avast! directory and send the report file to the Recycle bin? I couldn't find any option of doing this from within the programme's interface. You can simply send them by executing our log collector utility from this path C:Program FilesAVAST SoftwareCleanuptulogcollector.exe and once the logs are collected they will be automatically sent to our server. To move a file to Quarantine, tick the box next to the file, then click Resolve Selected or Resolve All. Run the executable file, preferably as an administrator. If you have no choice but to use 32-bit applications, you may download 32-bit decryptor here. Avast provides a 64-bit decryptor, as the ransomware is also a 64-bit and can’t run on 32-bit Windows. I think thats the default setting anyway. The first step is to download the decryptor binary. Inquisitive mind that I am (sometimes enough to be dangerous) I decided to try this option and ticked almost all options offered (including skipped files), which resulted in a monster report file, as I've got a great number of images and music on my PC, and most of those files were skipped due to scanner settings. When Avast Security detects a suspicious file during a scan, the detection appears in the scan report. Re: Losing Disk Space due to Avast Logs (Help) The first and most obvious step would be, under program settings/report file, to use the option to delete/overwrite old logs when new ones are created. ![]() Just today I noticed you can set it to generate a report after a scan. I've been using Avast! 4 Home Edition for a couple of months (AWESOME programme, BTW) without having tinkered too much with the settings. Where Does Avast Quarantine Files When Avast detects an infected file. I've searched the forum before registering but was unable to find a previous thread where this matter was being discussed. The access scanner is reported at Resident Protection.txt file, that is stored - as all other reports - at the default folder C:\Program files\. files in avast How to unquarantine files Avast. I'm new to the forum and relatively new to Avast! and please forgive me if my question is stupid.
